A man from Florida is suing Netflix for a completely unusual reason involving the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul last Friday (15).

According to Ronald “Blue” Denton, a resident of Hillsborough County, the quality of the stream was so poor that it could be considered a breach of contract, according to a report from TMZ.

The class action lawsuit filed in a Florida state court seeks compensation of at least $50 million. “Netflix customers experienced huge streaming issues and should have noticed it better because this has happened before. They were unfortunately poorly prepared,” the lawsuit states.

Citing “more than 100,000 people complaining online,” the lawsuit claimed that “boxing fans, along with average Americans who wanted to see a legend in what would likely be his last fight, faced legendary problems, including: lack of access, streaming failures, and buffering issues.”

In addition to the numerous online complaints, the website Down Detector, which monitors the status of various websites, recorded 85,000 complaints for Netflix on the day of the fight, which was broadcast free of charge to platform subscribers.
